  • MUMMIFIED

    The Impossible Players present a story more than 40 centuries in the making.
    MUMMIFIED!! tells the tale of an ancient Egyptian mummy inadvertently brought to life by a professor of Egyptology and a dashing archaeologist in 1925 Chicago.
    In the era of bootleggers and flappers, the scientists strive to apprehend the mummy before it can spread panic in the city.
    Once the mummy sees the beautiful niece of the professor and abducts her, an unlikely cadre forms to save the girl and put the mummy back into his sarcophagus.
    Suspense, comedy, and romance make for a perfect mixture in this play written and directed by long-time Impossible Player, Michael Lynch.
    Lynch has been involved with the Imps since the 1970s and has acted, directed and produced numerous productions for the community theater company.
    The characters include six men, one non-speaking, ages 30 to 4,500, and three women, ages 20 to 55. One of the women needs an Irish brogue.
    Auditions will be Monday, Aug. 18 and Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m.  No monolog required, auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
    Performances will be in October  17,18, 19 (matinee), 24, 25, 26 (matinee), November 1.
    The Impossible Playhouse is located at 1201 N. Main St. in Pueblo.

    The Impossible Players are proud to present “Greater Tuna” by Jaston Williams, Ed Howard, and Joe Sears. The play is set in the fictional town of Tuna, Texas, the “third-smallest” town in the state.A total of two male and two female actors will hilariously portray the town’s 20 different characters.Auditions will be held Monday November 17 and Tuesday November 18 at 7 p.m. and will consist of cold readings from the script.   • The Odd Couple – Female Version

    Odd-CoupleThe Impossible Players are proud to present, “The Odd Couple- Female Version! Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is, in Neil Simon’s hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.

    A parade of unforgettable characters emerge from the steam in this hilarious, supernatural bathhouse. There is Tandy, fresh from teaching art appreciation at the Police Academy; Meredith, whose last memory is buying a micro-miniskirt; Biberman, a karate silver-belt who masquerades as a paraplegic; and the mysterious Puerto Rican janitor given to omniscient musings and manipulating the fate of all mankind.
    The show is Directed by Darin Stuart. Play premieres at 7:30pm, Friday June 19th with additional evening performances on June 20th, 26th & 27th. Two matinées will be performed on Sunday June 21st and 28th at 2:00pm. The Impossible Playhouse is at 1201 North Main Street, and is accessible for the physically challenged.  Reservations may be necessary, as large audiences are expected, and may be made by calling 542-6969, or by emailing  impossibleplayers@hotmail.com.
